All Things Digital: Apple Reaching for the Cloud With MacBook Air and N.C. Data Center
Apple always has been a consumer product company. It has been for the people, rich people, but still people. A turn towards data centers feels a little strange.
Abandon Java just when Larry Ellison bought Sun, get into data centers just when Larry Ellison got into hardware. I think we are about to see some friendly competition between the two best friends. Or maybe Steve Jobs will do the high end and Larry will compete at the low end with the others.
Say, what would be your idea of a sleek data center?
Or maybe I am reading the headline wrong. I would not be the first person in history.
